Training Program for Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Polaris Insight Center offers a comprehensive training program in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, including online didactical training, in-person experiential retreats, consultation, and a certificate program.

Didactic Training:

Our live, online webinars cover fundamental, advanced, and special topics in KAP. This robust collection of workshops is designed to provide interested physicians, psychologists, therapists, nurses, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals with principles and procedures of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in a clinical setting. The modules also explore issues and principles that relate to any work with Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness and psychotherapy, and modules such as Ethics and Healing the Healer do not require any prior training in KAP.

The training program is led by Polaris lead trainers and 20+ guest trainers from Polaris and other practices. Many of the trainers have been the lead researchers on and providers of psychedelic or ketamine treatment for a variety of populations, and they enrich the program with a variety of practices and protocols.

Retreats:

The Polaris Experiential Retreats offered in collaboration with Rainfall Medicine are five-day in-person trainings that put didactic learning into practice. Participants will develop a deep understanding of the entirety of the KAP protocol–including intake, preparation, treatment, and integration. The retreats explore a variety of modalities that are included in the preparation and integration process, such as movement, meditation, expressive arts, sound journey, aromatherapy, as well as inquiry groups, journaling and group process.

Consultation:

Polaris offers individual and group consultation for practitioners who are preparing to start or have already started a KAP practice. Individual consultation and consultation groups led by experienced KAP practitioners aim to support professional development and further the ethical, compassionate and creative practice of KAP. The groups are offered in 6-month and 12-month cohorts and offer case consultation, explore ethical issues in KAP, and support the growth of clinicians’ professional networks.

Certificate Program:

Polaris/Rainfall KAP practitioner Certificate Program is a 1-2 year pathway for practitioners to earn a certificate that will reflect a commitment of time, energy, and practice and demonstrate competence in providing ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
